Well-known AWS types, documented to the same standard as the Updraft extensions — partly to prove the system against real-world complexity, and partly because they deserve better documentation than they have.
These pages are not a mirror of the AWS reference. They cover the properties that appear in real templates, and they spend their length on the things the official reference leaves out: what a change actually does to a running resource, which combinations are invalid, and which defaults are historical accidents.
Where a type is documented in part rather than in full, the page says so at the top of its property list and links to the authoritative reference.
